Turtle Hatching Program for the Blandings Turtle

Through an extensive cooperation with public schools, private schools, churches and non-governmental organizations, Turtle nesting sites are located, carefully monitored, and when the time is right, the hatchlings are gathered together, taken to off-site aquariums where they are carefully fed, nurtured with warming lights, until the fateful time that they are large enough to be placed back out into the wild.       The goal is to increase their chance of survival.
